The St Francis Trust Advent Carol Service on Tuesday 16th December was a truly unforgettable celebration!
More than 450 children from across our Trust filled St Peter’s Church in Doncaster with sound and energy, delivering phenomenal singing led by Mr Christopher Edge ( Hallam Diocese, Choral Director) that created an atmosphere described by many as both joyful and deeply moving. Parents, carers and parishioners packed every pew, with standing room only as the church overflowed.
One of the most moving sights of the afternoon was the incredible amount of toys donated. Piled high around the church, the gifts will go on to support children and families in need across our Diocese , ensuring that many more will experience joy this festive season. It was a powerful reminder of the generosity that exists within our St Francis community.
To see over 450 children singing their hearts out in a packed church, alongside such kindness and generosity, was truly humbling. It was everything a Carol service should be and more.
The St Francis Trust Advent Carol Service was a wonderful way to draw the Autumn Term to a close, combining faith, music and the St Francis community spirit in a way that will be remembered long after the final carol was sung!
