Martin McDonagh FCA – Chair

Martin is Chair of the St Francis CMAT, and a Foundation Director, appointed by the Bishop in September 2022. He is also Chair at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary in Dinnington appointed December 2019; at Holy Rood Catholic Primary School in Barnsley, appointed June 2020; and a Governor at St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Herringthorpe Rotherham since April 2017. Martin is also Chair of the Holy Spirit Umbrella Trust – appointed December 2019.  Martin is an accountant and works as a Managing Partner at Hart Shaw, with 30 years’ experience supporting businesses across the market sectors such as engineering, manufacturing, wholesale, academy schools and investment property. Martin provides business owners with advice, specialising in VAT and Outsourcing.  Martin is also a member of the ICAEW.

• Some experience of working with the media – strong experience in the use of
social media and social movement.
• Strong experience of quality management in the NHS.
• Regular use of risk registers, including risk scoring and mitigation actions.
• Well-developed strategic planning experience.

Jackie is appointed by the Bishop as Foundation Director and on St Francis Trust Board. Jackie is also Chair of St Bede Catholic Primary, Rotherham, appointed in 2000.
